Exploring the essence of Yoga: a journey towards serenity and awareness. Welcome to the House of the Soul.
At a time when the excess of information is as harmful as or more harmful than the lack of it, it is essential that we increasingly try to find the purest sources that allow us to drink from true knowledge.
What often happens is that the fast pace of today does not create the conditions for deepening and careful reflection, fundamental premises for any search that does not intend to be reduced to the surface. Now, if there is a distinctive feature in Yoga, it is precisely this search for the fundamental cause, for the essence, for the Origin, and, as such, we must by no means be satisfied with its more peripheral aspects, however fashionable they may be.
We cannot deny that today Yoga is in “fashion”, in the sense that an increasing number of people have heard of or practiced some of the forms associated with Yoga. However, Yoga is nowadays almost always reduced to its more or less exotic postures (Asanas) or breathing techniques (Pranayamas) that, at best, lead us to increased flexibility, postural correction and a general sense of well-being that, in turn, helps to reduce the levels of stress and anxiety so present in today’s societies.
Yoga classes aim to bring the body and mind to a state of greater balance and serenity, thus opening the doors to a more conscious lifestyle and prepared to deal with the opportunities and challenges of everyday life. On the mat, we have the opportunity to feel when we should be stronger or more flexible, when we should persist or change course, when we should be more active or more contemplative, creating the space and time for each one to (re)know their emotions and thoughts more closely. It is with a great sense of humility, but also of responsibility and enthusiasm that we propose to share this path as it came to us, with those who feel their hearts vibrate with this possibility.
