Sustainability in every drop: the connection between kombucha, ecosystems and the preservation of the planet.
The importance of Ecosystems
Since we have to live in a system that is in an ecosystem. I believe that for anything to work, there need to be several components that complement each other and add overall value. We can see an ecosystem in everything in our life, in relationships, at work, in family, in friendships, in love, in a vegetable garden, on the planet and even inside a bottle of kombucha.
The guarantee of having an ecosystem is the certainty of balance. After all, what is an ecosystem?
An ecosystem is a set of communities that inhabit a space and interact with each other and with the environment. Contributing to a stable and balanced system. The word derives from Greek and means “set of a habitat”. The main characteristic of an ecosystem is the presence of a relatively closed set, stable in space and time, of matter and energy flow between biotic and abiotic factors, for example a forest.
In this section I want to appeal to the importance of having natural ecological systems already created that sustain and balance our planet, but with poor agricultural activity and routine practices of human beings cause their destruction. Without a stable and balanced system, we can start the countdown to our end. The “Climate Clock” in September 2020 marked seven years to avert a climate catastrophe. Seven years is a short time if we think of a single person acting, but it is 2555 Days of millions of people who can and should make a difference. And I say that we have every day of the rest of our lives to save, preserve and create ecosystems. We must start now!
To be more enlightened about the problem we have overcome and also to see and hear the solutions, I strongly advise you to watch David Attenborough’s documentary.
It is urgent to create a system within large companies that defends forests and the carbon footprint, just as it is urgent to be aware of solutions to reduce climate change.
It’s simple, when you drink kombucha, you’re drinking an ecosystem made up of positive bacteria that balance your intestinal system and flora, how about living inside that bottle and giving the planet everything we produce with our actions to drink?
Germinate yourself and the world by being an active and positive agent in our Ecosystem!
A big green hug to all of your urban farmer. See you soon in beautiful ecosystems!
