Post-summer reset: the power to get back to the routine

Tips for an invigorating post-holiday reset

We have reached September, that month of change and “rebalancing”! On vacation we end up taking a detour from our routines (and how good you know!) but then it can seem difficult to get out of this summer mood. That’s why the idea of starting from scratch makes perfect sense at this time of year and it’s so important to do a general reset to start blank. I bring you some tricks that will help you re-enter in a big way and feel full of energy. Let’s do it?

Resume eating and reduce bloating

We hardly maintain the same eating routine all year round – and thankfully! What is certain is that in the summer we end up eating healthier and more varied, drinking a lot more water and exercising more as well. Getting back into a routine can be demotivating and we often feel some bloating and fluid retention at this time of year. That’s why I like to boost my digestive health and for that I start the day with Detox Drops – based on chlorophyll, these drops are rich in antioxidants that support the intestinal flora, the immune system, liver function and more effective digestion. Every day I also drink a kombucha (we always have it in the office) and try to insert other fermented foods into my meals.

Skin balance and maintain tan

Ending the holidays and starting the routine (for most of us) means spending less time in nature and more time in the city. Our skin is affected daily by stress, pollution and other external agents that are aggravated by the return to work. It is very important to cleanse the skin well, especially at the end of the day, but also to reinforce hydration so as not to lose the tan that makes us feel so beautiful. An excellent trick is to start doing an oil cleaning – the combination of the best of both worlds! I like to use a very soft 100% organic cotton towel and the JASMINE Cleansing Oil, to keep the pores always clean and the skin bright and nourished. After cleansing I apply my serum and moisturizer – at this time I’m using the anti-aging range REVITALIZA that also helps to attenuate the typical post-summer spots. Another tip is: don’t be afraid of exfoliation! Contrary to what you might think, removing dead skin will not remove the tan, but will help it maintain it longer. Ideally, you should do it once a week with natural ingredients that also moisturize the skin.

Sleep well and wake up with energy

Do you have insomnia? Do you feel like you wake up tired all the time or several times during the night? It is very common for anxiety and stress to strike especially at this stage – the kids going back to school, the pressure of a new start and the readjustment to the days getting shorter and the heat going away. It can be hard to sleep well, but it’s really important! Here are my tips to get you to feel better:

  1. Control cortisol levels and increase protein levels, that’s right! Reinforcing protein at this stage will help you feel more energetic. I love SUPER FEMININE because it also contains medicinal plants such as ashwagandha that help balance the body and reduce the signs of stress in our body. If you can’t take powdered supplements, it may be a good solution to look for capsules that have the same effect and pay extra attention to what you’re eating to make sure you get enough protein.
  2. Pay attention to the hours you spend in front of screens – most of us need our cell phone or computer to work and so it is crucial that your free time (which is already little!) is not also spent in front of screens. It may seem like a cliché, but it is a tip that really makes all the difference, especially in the quality of sleep.
  3. Drink a tea that helps you relax before bed or, if you have insomnia, look for plants such as the SLEEP DROPS mixture, which help you have a deeper and uninterrupted sleep.

Mind and space cleansing

Deep storage – just thinking about it gives you a headache – but the truth is that it helps a lot to see things more clearly! Take a free day to make a selection of what you no longer need in your life and reduce the amount of “visual noise” around you. We accumulate so much unnecessary stuff that it only makes it more difficult to keep the house tidy. In the phases of change I like to do a cleaning with rosewood or white sage. Traditionally used in shamanic rituals, they help to cleanse the space and body of negative energy, for a more open and free mind. It helps a lot to start a new phase with a clearer mind!

Above all, don’t be afraid of change and embrace this new phase with a watchful eye, to perceive your body’s signals. Know how to have moments of pause, even outside the holidays and further away from the sea.
