That detox green juice recipe, delicious and balanced. Perfect to drink on an empty stomach.
Makings:
Spinach / kale sauce
1 banana (the riper it is, the more benefits)
1 green apple
1/2 avocado
juice of 1/2 lemon
2 medjool dates or agave syrup
1 That Ginger Kombucha
Add-ons (optional):
1 teaspoon spirulina (microalgae rich in protein, vitamins, and antioxidants)
1 teaspoon of wheatgrass (boost energy and strengthens immunity)
Or others that I love like: maca, pea protein and ashwagandha.
Process:
Wash the greens
Peel the fruits/vegetables
Combine all the ingredients in the blender
Add the kombucha gradually to adjust the juice to the desired thickness
Tips:
The recipes are adaptable to the taste and preferences of each one but also to what is in the pantry!
No spinach and no kale? Use other leafy greens, such as chard, romaine lettuce, celery or beet greens.
Is there no apple or banana? Use kiwi, cucumber or red fruits.
Is there no avocado? Use almond butter, or other nuts/seeds, to add good healthy fats that promote good absorption of nutrients from fruits and vegetables.
This recipe has a 2:1 ratio of fruits to vegetables, but if the intention is a low-sugar juice, the ratio may be 1:1. Other vegetables that work: cauliflower, zucchini, carrots and cucumbers.
